Dirt n Dust Festival - Friday 16th April
The Julia Creek Dirt & Dust Festival will celebrate its 16th year in 2010. From modest beginnings, today’s event brings together people from all walks of life - from Queensland, Australia and overseas. Julia Creek, is proud to host what is fast becoming Queensland’s 'must go' event.
These days the Dirt n Dust Festival is not just a triathlon event but has grown over the years to include other activities, for all ages and fitness levels, including; magicians, country music talent quests, amateur boxing, dance groups, cultural performers, fireworks displays, tobacco rolling contests, local ironman/woman contests, and the list goes on.
One of the biggest events during the festival is the sanctioned Bull ride; where some of the best Australian bull riders come to Julia Creek to participate in the certified Professional Bull Riders (PBR) event.
